Charleston Housing Authority project at 275 Huger Street gains final approval
The Charleston Housing Authority (CHA) has received final approval from the City of Charleston’s Board of Architectural Review (BAR) for the redevelopment of 275 Huger Street, advancing a key affordable housing project on the peninsula.
The approved plans call for replacing an aging 12-unit structure with a new, 77-unit affordable housing community designed to reflect Charleston’s historic architectural character while addressing the city’s growing demand for attainable housing.
